We intend to develop a radar technology with NBIoT connectivity to make smart street lights smarter and enable traffic lights to truly “see” all road users.

We make smart street lights but they do not react to vehicle or human presence to adjust the brightness level. The same concept can be used for traffic lights as the current inductive sensors do not detect smaller vehicles, such as motorcycles and bicycles, and even pedestrian. If you ride a bike, you’ll know the light won’t turn green for you unless it’s on a timer.

Our vision is to have the radar installed everywhere our smart street lights are. The visibility on traffic flow and speed of traffic as well as an improved system for traffic lights will enable enforcement to be focused on certain areas and encourage road safety in general.

PDRM Jan-Sept 2019 statistics show the leading cause of motor accidents (1,541 cases) is losing control of a vehicle (single vehicle accidents), and research shows that speeding is related to one-third of all motor accidents as you may lose control easier when you over-speed.
